Sustainability
We aim to tread as lightly on the earth as a butterfly on the vines

We are supporters of the Comité Champagne’s biodiversity aims, encouraging healthy hedgerows and using organic and biodynamic methods wherever possible. Our winery, is being restored to bring heritage gravity-driven methods of production back to life, alongside the latest sustainable technologies to reduce carbon emissions.
At Les Cinq Filles, we feel an obligation to be a considerate and generous corporate citizen, for the benefit of individuals, our Champagne community and the planet.

Treading lightly
Our winemaker’s commitment
Yvonne’s winemaking ethos is to pursue sustainable, organic and biodynamic methods wherever possible, to create cuvées that impress with their complexity and individuality.
Inspired by nature and learning
Winemaker, Yvonne Seier Christensen graduated from the University of London’s Plumpton College after three years of intensive study, covering all aspects of wine production and related biological sciences. This academic learning informs her intuitive feel for keeping nature in balance in the vineyard.
Biodiversity for healthy vines
In line with the Comité Champagne’s aims, we rely on natural biodiversity to keep pests in natural balance with healthy vines.
Horse drawn plough
With visions of ages past, you may catch a glimpse of the beautiful horses that plough our vineyard in Avize. It’s where old ways meet the new focus on sustainability.
